Average Pro Settings by Game: DPI, Sensitivity, eDPI and cm/360 Across 1,458 Pros

2026-09-10 · 7 min read · by EsportSettings editors, data from tracked pro setups

We hold settings for 1,458 professional players across five games. This page is the aggregate: the median DPI, in-game sensitivity, eDPI and cm/360 a pro actually plays at, per game, plus the resolution and gear the field converges on. Every number below is computed from the player pages on this site, not copied from anywhere.

One thing to get out of the way first: DPI on its own tells you nothing. 800 DPI is the most common setting in every single game we track, but the sensitivity multiplier sitting next to it changes the result by a factor of ten. The number that compares across players *and* across games is cm/360, how far you physically move the mouse to turn all the way around. Use the Sensitivity Calculator to get yours.

The short answer

GameProsMedian DPIMedian sensMedian eDPIMedian cm/360Most common resolution
CS26988001.35800521280x960 4:3 stretched
VALORANT4128000.2522458.31920x1080
Fortnite1708006.5544047.81920x1080
Apex Legends508001.2108038.51920x1080
League of Legends1281250,,,1920x1080

League of Legends is the odd one out and always will be: it is a cursor game, so there is no crosshair sensitivity to average and cm/360 is meaningless. Its DPI figure is real, the rest genuinely does not apply.

CS2

Across 698 CS2 pros the median is 800 DPI at 1.35 sensitivity, giving a median eDPI of 800 and 52 cm/360. 800 DPI alone accounts for 47% of the field. The middle 80% of players land between 37.5 and 69.3 cm/360, that spread is the useful part, because it tells you the range that actually works at the top level.

Resolution: 62% play 1280x960 4:3 stretched, followed by 1920x1080 native (8%), 1024x768 4:3 stretched (6%).

  • Headset: HyperX Cloud II, 20% of the field

Mouse polling rate: median 1000 Hz, with 1000 Hz, 4000 Hz, 2000 Hz the common choices. Note this is the mouse's report rate, not monitor refresh.

VALORANT

Across 412 VALORANT pros the median is 800 DPI at 0.25 sensitivity, giving a median eDPI of 224 and 58.3 cm/360. 800 DPI alone accounts for 53% of the field. The middle 80% of players land between 39.8 and 81.6 cm/360, that spread is the useful part, because it tells you the range that actually works at the top level.

Fortnite

Across 170 Fortnite pros the median is 800 DPI at 6.5 sensitivity, giving a median eDPI of 5440 and 47.8 cm/360. 800 DPI alone accounts for 55% of the field. The middle 80% of players land between 32 and 58.2 cm/360, that spread is the useful part, because it tells you the range that actually works at the top level.

Resolution: 89% play 1920x1080, followed by 1720x1080 (3%), 2560x1440 (2%).

Apex Legends

Across 50 Apex Legends pros the median is 800 DPI at 1.2 sensitivity, giving a median eDPI of 1080 and 38.5 cm/360. 800 DPI alone accounts for 50% of the field. The middle 80% of players land between 28.2 and 60 cm/360, that spread is the useful part, because it tells you the range that actually works at the top level.

League of Legends

Our 128 League pros sit at a median 1250 DPI, with 1600 the single most common value (15% of the field). 99% of them play at 1920x1080, the most uniform resolution choice of any game here.

Because aiming is done with the cursor, what matters instead is in-game mouse speed and camera move speed, which we record per player rather than averaging into a single figure.

  • Mouse: Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2, 23% of the field
  • Keyboard: Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL, 23% of the field
  • Monitor: LG 25GR75FG, 19% of the field
  • Mousepad: Razer Gigantus V2, 18% of the field
  • Headset: Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed, 21% of the field

What actually transfers

  • Copy cm/360, not DPI. A pro's DPI is meaningless without their multiplier, and changing DPI while keeping cm/360 constant changes almost nothing about how the game feels.
  • The spread matters more than the median. In CS2 the middle 80% of pros run 37.5, 69.3 cm/360. That is a wide band, and it is evidence that there is no single correct answer, only a range that works.
  • Resolution is a real split, not a rounding error. 62% of CS2 pros play stretched 4:3, while 89% of Fortnite pros play native 1080p. Those are different games with different reasons, so don't carry a habit from one into the other.
  • Then leave it alone. The pros in this dataset change their sensitivity very rarely. Consistency is doing more work than the specific number.

Method and sample sizes

Medians rather than means throughout, because a handful of extreme settings skew an average badly. The 80%% band is the 10th to 90th percentile. Each statistic uses only the players who have that value recorded, so the counts differ per field:
